About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Richmond Plastic Surgeon Discusses Morpheus 8

Richmond, Virginia, United States - 06-22-2022 (PR Distribution™) -

Dr. Neil Zemmel of Dermlounge, a Richmond, VA medical spa, provides insight into Morpheus8, a skin tightening treatment which combines microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy.

Richmond, VA – Leading Richmond plastic surgeon Neil J. Zemmel, MD, FACS, is committed to offering the latest examples of advanced care for his patients. At his Short Pump practice, Richmond Aesthetic Surgery, as well as his medical spa, Dermlounge, patients can choose between a plethora of surgical and non-surgical procedures, each of which is custom-tailored to suit their unique aesthetic goals. Among the newest minimally-invasive treatments at Dermlounge is Morpheus8, an innovative skin tightening treatment which is rapidly growing in popularity.

According to Dr. Zemmel, Morpheus8 combines the traditional microneedling technique, in which a device creates small perforations in the skin to trigger its healing process, with radiofrequency (RF) energy. “The microneedling aspect of Morpheus8 is designed to stimulate collagen and elastin production,” says Dr. Zemmel. “The perforations can cause the body to self-heal and renew itself, thereby reducing skin laxity, wrinkles, lines, and more. Meanwhile, the addition of RF energy helps the device penetrate the subdermal planes of the skin for more effective tightening.” The degree of RF energy, he adds, can be customized to address the specific goals of the patient.

Dr. Zemmel also notes that Morpheus8 is most commonly performed on the face, neck, chest, and décolletage, though it can be suitable for virtually any area of the body. The procedure can generally be completed in 15 minutes to an hour, and typically requires little to no recovery time. Furthermore, Dr. Zemmel says, it is safe for all skin tones, poses little to no risk to surrounding tissue, and, when administered by an experienced professional, can produce a rejuvenated effect which is both subtle and noticeable.

“Patients should know that Morpheus8 is usually best suited for mild to moderate skin laxity and age-related blemishes,” Dr. Zemmel continues. “Those with more severe or stubborn concerns sometimes choose to supplement Morpheus8 with BOTOX® Cosmetic injections or another treatment.”

Moreover, Dr. Zemmel reminds patients that while the effects of Morpheus8 often last from a few months to a year, multiple Morpheus8 sessions may be recommended in order to obtain optimal results. He urges patients who are interested in Morpheus8 to schedule a consultation with a qualified professional where their eligibility for the procedure can be determined after a thorough evaluation of their skin.
