OFFICER Jacob Awolola Top Disciplined Police Officer of the year for 2023 by IAOTP

Officer Jacob Awolola, a highly trained Police Officer, was recently selected as the Disciplined Police Officer of the Year 2023 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities. While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. Officer Awolola has ten years as a law enforcement personnel with seven years as a Correctional Officer, and has been a Police Officer for three years.

Throughout his career, he has developed a wide range of skills, including but not limited to, Investigation, Arrest, control strategies, and Interpersonal skills. He also Thrives in fast-paced and challenging working environments and has extensive legal knowledge and conflict resolution management skills.

Officer Awolola has always felt drawn to the service due to his daily interaction with the community; he has always been focused on fostering the relationship between law enforcement and the community. He also chose to become a Police Officer to participate in criminal rehabilitation programs to help mentor troubled children, teens, and adults to turn their lives around and become active members of society again was an easy decision. 

Officer Awolola uses his knowledge to treat people of all backgrounds fairly and help his local community build trust and respect for the police. He also values his role as a public servant to promote safety. 

Officer Jacob Awolola's areas of expertise include but are not limited to communication and interviewing skills, excellent observational skills, and attention to detail. Officer Awolola has a strong sense of community and an understanding of criminal law. He is also highly skilled at evidence gathering using video surveillance footage and can remain calm under pressure and de-escalate conflicts.

Before starting his successful career, Officer Awolola attended Milwaukee Area Technical College to study Criminal Justice and Grand Canyon University to study Homeland Security and Emergency Management. He also took some Field Force Operation training at the domestic preparedness center of the US Department of Homeland Security.

Aside from his successful career, he has received awards and accolades and has been recognized worldwide for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. This year he will be considered for a feature in TIP (Top Industry Professional) Magazine and was selected as Top Disciplined Officer of the Year 2023 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). He will be honored at IAOTP's Annual Awards Gala in December 2023. Officer Jacob Awolola is an honored member of The International Union of Police Associations (IUPA)

The President of IAOTP, Stephanie Cirami, stated "Choosing Officer Awolola for this honor was a simple one. He has done so much in his early career and is exceptional. We are certain that he will continue to amaze us in the coming years, and we are thankful for his service.

Looking back, Officer Awolola credits his success to strong organizational and time management skills. Also, cultivating good habits, having a positive attitude, and learning from his mistakes. Lastly, good ethical and moral values were instilled in him by his parents.
