About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Jay Vics Interviews Ezralea Robbins of Mountainside Spa in Episode 44 of Meet the Experts Podcast

Greensboro, North Carolina -

Jay Vics, owner of JVI Mobile Marketing, which is based in Greenboro, NC, and the host of the “Meet the Experts” podcast has recently interviewed Ezralea Robbins of Mountainside Spa near Salt Lake City, Utah, in the 44th episode of the video podcast. Mountainside Spa is Utah's premier luxury spa that provides massage therapy, organic facials, and body treatments in Holladay, Utah.

Ezralea reveals that she has been a massage therapist and esthetician in the wellness business for her whole career. And ever since she had the opportunity to assume the ownership of the spas in the hotels in the resort town of Alta, her business has kept on growing and they currently have a location at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon in Salt Lake City. They currently offer massage therapy, body treatments, organic facials with eminence, organic skincare, intuitive therapy, meditation, and wellness therapies. She adds that they are passionate in helping adults relax and take some time out from their responsibilities.

And they don’t just offer a way for people to relax and de-stress but also help people who have suffered some kind of injury and also those who are undergoing cancer treatment, those who have undergone major surgeries, and more. Thus, they have been collaborating with their clients’ doctors to ensure that they can help with the stress these patients are currently experiencing. She observes that it has been both a rewarding and heartbreaking work as they empathize with their clients. They have even witnessed some of their clients passing away and then attending their funerals and then consoling their families. Those who want to know more about the Mountainside Spa can follow them on Instagram.

When asked about a testimonial from their guests, Ezralea states that they have had so many outstanding reviews that it is so difficult to just choose one. However, what does stand out is many of their guests expressing their gratitude for Mountainside Spa remaining open during the pandemic. So what recalls is a recent testimonial from a long-time client, who is a dancer and who thanked her for staying open despite the pandemic because she can’t imagine what her life would be without the services.

And one thing that makes Ezralea different from others is that she serves as a consultant for other spa and wellness center owners. She recalls that it just started through word of mouth, with people seeking out her help. She currently teaches other spa owners about how she was able to streamline her systems that were of great help for company communication. It allowed her team to know how to answer questions and empower them to make certain decisions. Thus, she teaches other business owners the SOPs, how to develop their own systems, and create their own operation process manual.

Meanwhile, JVI Mobile Marketing is a comprehensive-service digital marketing agency that enables clients to have full control of their brand online and connect with their target audiences who are likely to be interested in their services or products. JVI established the Meet the Experts podcast to highlight such businesses, and they usually invite those who would like to be featured in upcoming episodes in the future. Jay Vics also encourages business owners to be part of the Meet the Experts podcasts. This offers a number of advantages for small business owners as it enables them to connect with other local North Carolina entrepreneurs and consumers; get the video and audio files that they can use for whatever purpose the prefer; and relate their story to allow their listeners to develop a special connection with the business.
