About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

VORAGO Technologies Named to 2025 Inc. 5000 List for Leadership in Radiation-Hardened Electronics

Austin, Texas - August 22, 2025 - (PRESS ADVANTAGE) -

Inc. magazine has named VORAGO Technologies to its annual Inc. 5000 list for 2025, marking the company’s third consecutive appearance on this prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. VORAGO placed No. 38 in the engineering industry nationwide, with additional placements at No. 318 in Texas and No. 2,853 overall across all industries. This achievement points to VORAGO’s growing role in equipping aerospace, defense, and industrial innovators with radiation-hardened electronics that can withstand the harshest environments.

"Our team is dedicated to delivering the most innovative, resilient semiconductor solutions in the industry. The Inc. 5000 placement reflects our customers’ trust in VORAGO to support critical missions," said Bernd Lienhard, CEO of VORAGO Technologies. "Customers choose us because we design for the realities they face — where the stakes are high and only the strongest electronics can bring consistent results.”

This year, VORAGO has significantly expanded its portfolio of radiation-hardened electronics to meet growing demand for reliable autonomous technologies across industries. The company recently announced its VA5 family of dual-core Arm® Cortex®-M55 microcontrollers, designed to bring radiation mitigation, advanced fault tolerance, and power-efficient processing to space, defense, and autonomous missions. This rollout builds on the successful launch of the VA7230 edge computing microprocessor, the first Arm®-based MPU with an embedded graphics processor (GPU) targeted at space applications.

“Making the Inc. 5000 is always a remarkable achievement, but earning a spot this year speaks volumes about a company’s tenacity and clarity of vision,” says Mike Hofman, editor-in-chief of Inc. “These businesses have thrived amid rising costs, shifting global dynamics, and constant change. They didn’t just weather the storm—they grew through it, and their stories are a powerful reminder that the entrepreneurial spirit is the engine of the U.S. economy.”

Inc. will celebrate the honorees at the 2025 Inc. 5000 Conference & Gala, taking place October 22–24 in Phoenix, and the top 500 will be listed in the Fall issue of Inc. magazine.

Methodology

Companies on the 2025 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2021 to 2024. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2021. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2024. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2021 is $100,000; the minimum for 2024 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons.
