With a career spanning public school classrooms and administrative leadership, Dr. Yates has taught at every level, from elementary to continuation high schools, before moving into roles as a Special Education Coordinator, Administrator, and Learning Director. She now brings her wealth of experience to the university classroom, preparing the next generation of teachers.

A dedicated educator, wife, and mother of five, Dr. Yates is passionate about improving teacher education through research and practical engagement. When not teaching or writing, she enjoys cheering on her university students at basketball games and exploring new areas of academic inquiry.
