About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

ITSMA Announces Finalists for the 2021 Marketing Excellence Awards

By: PRLog

B2B marketing leaders and innovators will be honored on October 13 for standout performance with tech-related services and solutions; winners will share growth and innovation stories at ITSMA's 2021 Marketing Vision Conference on October 19-21.

LEXINGTON, Mass. - Aug. 10, 2021 - PRLog -- ITSMA, the leadership community for B2B marketers in the connected economy, today announced the finalists in its 24th Annual Marketing Excellence Awards Program.

The awards program honors the marketing initiatives and campaigns that have delivered superior performance in the four most critical aspects of marketing success: customer-focus, innovation, execution, and business impact. The program focuses exclusively on marketing for B2B services and solutions, and highlights the most important dimensions of a strategic, collaborative approach to marketing.

"As B2B organizations continue working their way through the COVID-19 disruptions, those that pivoted quickly with customer-oriented insight and support, along with new offerings and ways to engage, positioned themselves for long-term success," said Dave Munn, President of ITSMA. "Once again, we have a standout group of award finalists this year that showcase a wealth of innovation and inspiration as marketers advance their role and impact in their companies. The 38 organizations that have reached this stage exhibit the best qualities of market focus, creativity, and operational excellence in accelerating strategic growth and innovation."

The 2021 ITSMA Marketing Excellence Awards categories and finalists are:

  • Advancing Thought Leadership: EY Canada, IBM, Optum, O2 Business, and SAP
  • Collaborating with Sales: CRB, IBM, Salesforce, and SAP
  • Driving Strategic Growth: Cisco Systems Digital Experience, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Infosys, and T-Systems International
  • Embedding ABM Programs: Citrix, Honeywell, HP, Lionbridge, and Tata Consultancy Services
  • Optimizing ABM Campaigns: FireEye, Fujitsu America, Inc., Splunk, Tata Communications, and Tata Consultancy Services
  • Orchestrating Executive Engagement: Fujitsu, PwC, Red Hat, Salesforce, and Tata Consultancy Services
  • Strengthening the Brand: Capgemini Technology Services India Ltd., HCL Technologies, IBM, and Thoughtworks Inc.

"Amid the rapid rethink that B2B marketing teams have undertaken over the last year, our finalists remind us that the strategic foundations of marketing still matter most: Deep market and customer  insight, strong planning and internal collaboration, tailored account engagement, and a disciplined approach to execution and tracking business impact," said Munn. "In every category, our judges have been impressed with the creativity, agility, and results that continue to demonstrate the significant contributions B2B marketers are having on strategic growth."

In addition to the seven thematic categories, the Marketing Excellence Awards Program also includes recognition for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMB).

The finalists for small- and medium-sized business awards are:
  • Aspire Systems, Bombora, InfinityQS, Intelligent Demand, and Sunwest Bank
An international panel of marketing executives and experts will select the winners, who will be announced at a special online awards ceremony on October 13th, which precedes ITSMA's virtual Marketing Vision Conference the following week and will feature MEA-winning presentations.
