About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

RHONY Star and Creator of URaWarrior Mental Health Resource App Bershan Shaw Covers the Spring Issue of Charge Up Magazine

By: PRLog

ATLANTA - May 18, 2023 - PRLog -- Charge Up Campaign announces the release of the Charge Up Magazine's Spring issue featuring RHONY's Bershan Shaw.

The Spring 2023 issue features a cover interview with The Warrior Coach Bershan Shaw - two time cancer survivor, life coach, mental health advocate and tech creator. Created to be a resource and source of inspiration for individuals and families impacted by cancer, Charge Up Magazine, a quarterly publication, released its inaugural issue February 4, 2023 in honor of World Cancer Day. Each issue features interviews and contributing articles that speak to mental health, survivor and warrior resources, caregiver support and more.

In this  issue, Bershan recalls how  her diagnosis, and moreover, being told that she only had months to live, motivated her to become a warrior in every aspect of the word. She shares, "Doctors told me I had three months to live. Can you imagine one day being a healthy, fun-loving young woman at the prime of my life, and then being told such devastating news?" Now, 14 years later, showing no signs of cancer, she uses that same motivation to coach others as The Warrior Coach,  providing resources through her app and website UraWarrior.com. Shaw says, "I birthed the URAWARRIOR app for teenagers, young adults, men and women who may be embarrassed about their mental struggles and hiding their truth."

Also featured is Alice "Nurse Alice" Benjamin, FNP of Ask Nurse Alice via nurse.org. Nurse Alice has been a leader in the medical industry for over 25 years. Working closely with the NAACP, American Heart Association and AARP, her messaging has been focused on early detection, screening and proper treatment to build healthy, thriving communities.

Additional features include: 2022 Charge Up Campaign Survivor of the Year Raquel Smith, founder of PinkTopps Birmingham, Tanya Martino provides insight on her Survivors Journey and Latonia Collier APRN, NP-C, founder of Pathways Health & Wellness shares how families and individuals can create support systems for each other to promote wellness.

Released May 9, 2023, Charge Up Magazine is available in digital and print formats via chargeupcampaign.org, MagCloud and will be available on Amazon.

Charge Up Campaign is an Atlanta, GA based 501(c)3 and exists to empower and support cancer warriors and caregivers by providing mental health resources and tools to help them overcome the emotional challenges of cancer and its treatment.
