Savannah Philharmonic Announces Mark Spradley as New Education Manager

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Jan. 11, 2024 - PRLog -- The Savannah Philharmonic is delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Spradley as the new Education Manager. In his role, Mark will lead the organization's educational initiatives, fostering an appreciation for music and the arts within the community.

Mr. Spradley brings a wealth of experience and passion for music education to the Savannah Philharmonic. As the second trombonist for the SavPhil, Hilton Head Symphony, and the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra, Mark's extensive musical background and dedication make him an ideal candidate to spearhead the educational programs of the organization.

A proud native of Savannah, he earned his Bachelor of Music in performance from Columbus State University's Schwob School of Music. Throughout his illustrious career, he has performed with prestigious orchestra across the southeast region, including the Atlanta Symphony, Waco Symphony, LaGrange Symphony, Albany Symphony, Beaufort Symphony, and the North Charleston POPS.

Beyond his accomplishments as a performer, Mark is deeply committed to music education. He enjoys teaching private music lessons and serves as the conductor of the Savannah Trombone Choir. Additionally, Mark is a valued faculty member at the Savannah Trombone Workshop.

"As a Savannah native, I am very excited to start this role and better serve students in our area," states Spradley. "I'm really looking forward to collaborating with local teachers, organizing our educational outreach, and connecting with the community in a meaningful way."

Mark Spradley's appointment marks an exciting chapter for the Savannah Philharmonic as they continue to expand their educational outreach, engaging audiences of all ages and backgrounds, and continuing to offer something for everyone to enjoy.
