Fridge Art Fair is set to dazzle with "Fridge Does Freddie: The Freddie Mercury Project," an exuberant celebration of the iconic Freddie Mercury. This year's Mini-Fridge Edition at the LGBT Visitor Center in Miami Beach, promises to be a highlight of Miami Art Week December 3-8 2024, blending vibrant art and music in a spectacular homage to Mercury's legacy.

Highlights of the event include dynamic tribute performances and interactive events inspired by Freddie Mercury's energetic stage presence, merging art and music in unique and engaging ways. An interactive art installation will invite Fridge artists and visitors to collaborate, adding a participatory dimension to the experience. A panel discussion featuring artists, curators, and historians will explore Mercury's profound influence on art, music, and LGBTQ+ culture.

CollaboArtive, founded by Jean Blackwell Font and Iggy Font, will return as a partners and co-directors, bringing its collaborative spirit to the fair. David Craig Ellis, Eric Ginsburg, Kaitlin Martin (http://kaitlinmartin.com/), and David Waage (https://www.davidwaage.com/index) will co-direct and curate spaces within the fair.

With our tagline, "Can you fit into the fridge?" Fridge Art Fair Miami 2024 invites you to step into a world where art and tribute merge into an unforgettable celebration of creativity and community.

The Mini Fridge will have a spotlight on Miami LGBTQ+ Artists, showcasing their talent and creativity in all their fabulous diversity. Founded by artist Eric Ginsburg, Fridge Art Fair is celebrated for its innovative and inclusive approach to art fairs, providing a dynamic platform for diverse artistic expressions and creative experiences.

Call for Submissions: LGBTQ+ artists and allies from Miami, US, and international artists are encouraged to submit their work. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an art fair that honors Mercury's vibrant spirit and the creative community he inspired.
