NEW YORK - April 10, 2025 - PRLog -- Theatre Beyond Broadway proudly announces the highly anticipated revival of Hellish Delights, a gripping play by acclaimed playwright Scott C. Sickles under the direction of Jesse Edward Rosbrow. Originally staged five years ago, this production was among the final shows produced at Shetler Studios before the pandemic forced its closure. Now, Hellish Delights returns to the stage, reigniting its powerful themes and thrilling audiences once more.

Directed by Jesse Edward Rosbrow, Hellish Delights delivers a spellbinding mix of sharp wit, dark humor, and emotional depth. Known for his award-winning works that masterfully blend the fantastical with the deeply human, Sickles' latest play explores the unpredictable costs of our deepest yearnings.

Set in a world where the line between pleasure and peril is razor-thin, Hellish Delights is a collection of four one acts:

Bulletproof Love: Ambrose and Ramona were gonna get married. But then the murder happened, so…

The Fallow Garden: Glynnis and Marie-France are digging a hole in Lavinia Fowler's garden. They are not planting vegetables.

O, for a Muse of Fire: Lane used to be a composer in love with Vaughn. Vaughn wants Lane to remember her passions. She does.

Somewhere South of Bethlehem: Evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson, Lucrezia Borgia, and the Devil rehearse a Nativity play in Hell.

Hellish Delights features Alyssa Simon (NYT Critics Pick The Marriage Of Alice B. Toklas by Gertrude Stein (Alice) at HERE, The Off-Broadway world premiere on Oct. 7th: In Their Words (Hadas Eilon) at Actors Temple Theatre, The Division (Multiple Roles) for National Queer Theater at Lincoln Center); Amanda LePergola (Life With Althaar), and Brian Silliman (High Fidelity, Hulu, The Better Sister, Amazon, The Baker and the Beauty, ABC).

The creative and production team includes Emily Edwards (Fight and Intimacy Director); Ian McDonald (Set Design/Technical Director); Amanda Paz (Costume Designer); Crys Clemente Pascale (Lighting Designer); Chris Chappell (Sound Designer/Composer); Sharon Epperson (Puppetry Designer); and Jodi Witherell (Production Stage Manager); Jade DaRu (Graphic Designer) and Amanda Montoni (Website & Digital Designer).
