HAMILTON, Ontario - June 4, 2025 - PRLog -- There's a storm gathering on the horizon of indie storytelling: Scarlett: Reliquary of Souls. A modern gothic audio thriller steeped in myth and survival, Scarlett is preparing to claw its way into the world via Kickstarter.

Set against the haunted streets of early-2000s Toronto, this eight-part audio series unearths a hidden war—where gods fade, the dead walk beside the living, and Scarlett Velasco stands at the edge: occult scholar, exorcist, and mortal daughter of Hades.

But no one fights alone. Anne Sagona, a weary journalist searching for meaning in a city that's already eaten her alive, is pulled into Scarlett's orbit. Together, they'll navigate cults, dying gods, and the gravity of fate.

A Story That Refuses to Die:
Scarlett isn't nostalgia. It's a reckoning—an inheritance of women who bury the world inside themselves because no one else will. Drawing from cult classics like The Crow and Constantine and while forging a voice of its own.

With cinematic soundscapes and licensed music from dark luminaries like Chelsea Wolfe and Emma Ruth Rundle, Scarlett promises to haunt you long after the credits fade.

Damian Szydlo is a Canadian-based audio drama showrunner, award-winning sound designer, and founder of Red Fathom Entertainment. His work blends emotionally resonant storytelling with immersive worldbuilding, exploring cycles of hope and survival. Creator of the award-winning Hannahpocalypse and Cybernautica, he has spent nearly a decade crafting bold, character-driven fiction that resonates with audiences and fellow creators alike.

The Campaign: A Ritual in the Making
The team behind Scarlett has already invested deeply—securing the perfect sonic palette and crafting a world where every shadow hides a secret. Now they're calling on fellow devotees of gothic noir and mythic horror to help finish the ritual.

With a base goal of $14,000 CAD (approx. $10,000 USD), funds will secure fair honorariums for voice talent, studio resources, and post-production. Stretch goals promise expanded rewards and a chance to make this descent even darker.
