About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

By: PRLog
The reigning Miss Kings County USA is recognized for her groundbreaking participation and powerful platform of inclusivity.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Aug. 18, 2025 - PRLog -- We're excited to announce that MonaLesa Diamond Brackett, the reigning Miss Kings County USA, was named second runner-up at the Miss New York USA 2025 pageant. The final competition, hosted by Andreia Gibau, took place at the Hilton Albany on Sunday, August 17th.

The show opened with a vibrant dance number where MonaLesa was front and center. During the swimwear portion, MonaLesa made a powerful statement in an all-black burkini with hints of gold. For the evening wear competition, she graced the stage in a breathtaking, floor-length gown featuring bedazzled, golden detailing and dramatic white, voluminous sleeves and cape. Judges for the event included Constantine James, Cynthia Campbell Hunt, Mariela Pepin, Kristen White, Zachary Helsel, Caleigh Shade, and Carol Ann.

In a statement following the pageant, MonaLesa said, "Although I didn't take home the crown, I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and for the outpouring of support I've received from my community and everyone who has followed my journey."

MonaLesa, 36, is an entrepreneur, educator, and licensed real estate agent from Brooklyn. Her impressive performance and second runner-up placement are a testament to the powerful statement she made as a Black American Muslim woman competing in full modest attire. Her participation redefined beauty standards and promoted inclusivity on a grand stage.

Inspired by the Miss USA organization's recent removal of age caps, she returned to pageantry after a decade-long hiatus, proving that purpose and dreams have no age limit. As the founder of "The Real Estate Fairy, LLC," MonaLesa is deeply committed to helping homeless individuals and those with housing vouchers find safe and stable homes.

MonaLesa's top-three finish is a significant achievement that amplifies her message that true beauty comes from faith, resilience, and a dedication to serving others.

MonaLesa is proudly sponsored by the Alan Wheeler State Farm agency, Popeyes (Harlem, NY), Claver Parking Garage, Empress Lanice Media House, World Martial Arts Center, Urban Modesty, Fhatimah's Obsessions, Be Glorious, Jenna-Monet Beauty and friends and family.
