About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Readynez Launches Role-Based NIS 2 and DORA Training to Support Long-Term Compliance Across Europe

By: PRLog
With regulatory enforcement taking shape, Readynez expands its instructor-led training programs to help organisations build internal capabilities for sustained compliance under NIS 2 and DORA.

SJÆLLAND, Denmark - Sept. 14, 2025 - PRLog -- As NIS 2 and the DORA Regulation move from legislative frameworks to daily operational requirements, Readynez is launching a new series of Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) programs designed to equip employees, managers, and compliance teams with the knowledge and skills needed to support long-term regulatory alignment.

The programs are not just about ticking a box before a deadline – they are built to support ongoing capability building, helping organisations foster a culture of resilience, risk awareness, and governance-by-design.

"We're entering a new phase,"says Frank Højgaard, CEO of Readynez.
"Regulations like NIS 2 and DORA are no longer upcoming – they are here, and organisations need to operationalise them. That requires structured training for people at all levels, not just policy documents."

The updated training portfolio includes:
  • NIS 2 Directive Foundation – for general staff and non-technical stakeholders
  • NIS 2 Directive Lead Implementer – for project managers and compliance leads
  • DORA Lead Manager Training – for roles managing ICT risk and resilience
  • Cybersecurity Incident Response (aligned with GCIH)
  • Executive & Board Briefings – to fulfil governance and leadership obligations
All courses are delivered as Virtual Instructor-Led Training, with expert instructors, live Q&A sessions, and role-relevant exercises that translate regulatory articles into real-life actions. Readynez's training is designed to meet both the formal requirements of the directives and the practical realities faced by security, IT, and compliance teams.

"The real challenge isn't just understanding the regulation – it's embedding it,"
adds Højgaard.
"That's why our training focuses on operational implementation, not just legal interpretation."

The training programs are already available for Q4 2025 and will continue throughout 2026, with custom options for enterprise rollouts, sector-specific sessions, and onboarding for new hires. Readynez is working with organisations across the financial sector, critical infrastructure, and public services to deliver tailored compliance enablement at scale.
