About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Phinge To Offer All Third Party Platforms On Netverse The Ability To Run Instant Deals Automatically To Increase Sales During Slow Parts Of The Day

By: PRLog
INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. - Sept. 5, 2025 - PRLog -- Phinge's mission by partnering with businesses and platforms on Netverse®, is to help them achieve success and maximize profits by increasing sales throughout the day, especially during slow periods.

Businesses today like retail or restaurants, both online and with physical locations, have difficulty driving sales to their slowest parts of the day.

Their primary way currently of driving sales is through their own Apps, SEO on search engines, or ads through social media and video platforms and traditional media. There is no way today to seamlessly solve this. The problem is inherent in how the foundation and implementation of the current technology is constructed, including the siloed world of today's duopoly App-stores.

Unlike the App stores and technology of today, all Netverse management tools will be integrated into its, patented, app-less technology and platform through its patented, revolutionary hardware of magnetically attachable, smartphones, tablets, gaming systems and modular smartwatches with external battery bezels.

Netverse will give all third party businesses and platforms a cost-risk free opportunity to automatically run last minute deals and promotions based on parameters they set.

These incentives or deals can be displayed in real-time to users on Netverse, geographically that have the ability to take advantage of them in the time frames offered.

Phinge® proprietary POS (Point-of-sale) hardware and patented mobile devices.

Phinge through its upcoming patented hardware and proprietary POS systems, through Netverse, will give its verified businesses and platforms the ability to see real-time granular data on their sales including by day-part at all times. This is the basis for how the automated, real-time ads and offers are generated and displayed throughout Netverse.

Netverse drives last minute sales to businesses risk free, unlike the duopoly App-stores of today which charge up to 30%.

Netverse will offer all verified businesses and platforms on it a minimum amount of free advertising throughout Netverse for each ad they run to drive customers and sales to their online platforms and physical locations. When those customers make a purchase directly from those ads from a business or platform through NetversePay™️ on Netverse devices, Phinge only then takes a 10% fee of the sale, from them at the POS.

Phinge will give several examples of how Netverse will drive sales to them in their slowest times of the day, automatically and cost-free.
Deals may be offered as price discounts such as 2-for-1s, % off and add-ons.

Netverse advantage through rewards enhancements.

Businesses may choose to incentivize Netverse users by offering them increased value for their saved-up rewards redeemed through them.

All redeemed rewards on Netverse will always have a minimum value of $1.00-in-rewards-spends-like-$1.00-in-cash through every business and platform on Netverse.

Businesses and platforms can choose to enhance the reward value to users to drive sales at any time.

An example of this is a restaurant with online and/or physical locations can say, if you order online from us or eat at our location(s) between 2 pm and 4 pm today we will double your rewards up to $30.

In this scenario, a user ordering food online or eating at their selected locations during those times could get up to $60.00 in food by spending only $30.00 of their available rewards thus doubling the users rewards value.
This benefits both the business and the Netverse users.

Increased sales through automated real-time deals for slow times of the day.
Here are some examples.

Restaurant automated, real-time deals example:

A restaurant in a food court, in a mall has preset conditions on when the system should run automated deals and promotions for that location based on times periods of the day (day-parts).

Here is how it works:
  1. Owner or manager of the restaurant (User) first creates all the ads for this location. These ads can be built with the free real-time ad builder tool (system) included in the Netverse suite of management systems.
  2. User creates the ads from information such as photos, text, directions, conditions of use, etc. that the User has previously added through the system. User simply chooses the images, the text, the type of offer or discount and any conditions or restrictions and the ad is created. They repeat this process to create as many ads as they like.
  3. User then attaches each ad to the menus associated with them and the times they are available, like breakfast, lunch, dinner etc.
  4. User then adds the conditions for these ads to run under. Example: On Friday sales between 3-5 pm should average $400.00. If at 3.15 pm, the sales based on historical data are running behind to reach the day-part goal, the system will automatically run the pre-set ad(s) attached to the discount until the goal is met.
  5. The ad(s) will be visible only to Netverse users who can physically make it to their location by the end of the day part selected. If the restaurant has the ability to take online orders, then it will only be seen by Netverse users in areas geographically who will be able to pick up the food before the end of the day-part or can be delivered to before that same end time.
  6. If the sales in the day-part catch up to its historical history, the ads can stop running automatically or the User can keep them going to increase sales even more.
Restaurants can increase table reservations in slow times through real-time deals and promotions.

Sit-down restaurants can use this free system the same way to book tables at slow times of the day. It works the same way as the example above except it would stop running deals or promotions once all the tables are reserved for the day-part of that restaraunt location.

Increase retail sales through automated, real-time sales of overstocked items.

Excess inventory is a big issue for businesses, including shelf space, waste and profits.
Retail store owners and managers(User) can clear excess inventory automatically, in real-time.
Here is how it works:

Using the ad-creating example above, in this example a retail clothing store with one or more physical locations has a surplus of sweaters and jackets.

User can automatically run ads to start when the quantity is overstocked and end when the items either sell out or are reduced to a preset number that was set by the user. The sales data of these items would be tracked and displayed through Netverse and its related hardware.

Continued Innovation through Netverse.

Phinge has shown examples here of some of the free tools and systems that will be available to all verified businesses and platforms on Netverse.

Phinge will continue to highlight more of these exciting, one-of-a-kind systems in upcoming press releases.
