About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Jason Weiss Named CEO Amid Atlantic Leadership Transition

Adam Weiss appointed President; Larry Weiss transitions to Chairman

(PRUnderground) July 8th, 2025

Atlantic, Tomorrow’s Office, an award-winning provider of managed services and digital transformation solutions, today announced the implementation of its long-planned executive leadership transition. Jason Weiss has been named Chief Executive Officer, Adam Weiss has been appointed President, and Larry Weiss, the company’s longtime President and CEO, will transition to the role of Chairman.

“We’ve been deliberate about preparing Atlantic for its next chapter, and I believe now is the right time to make this transition,” said Larry Weiss. “Jason and Adam are deeply aligned with our vision, values, and culture. I’m confident they will lead the company with the same level of integrity, ambition, and care that has defined us for more than four decades.”

In 1982, Larry took ownership of Atlantic, ushering in a new era of growth and transformation. What started as a small copier company has grown into a national leader in managed IT services, cybersecurity, document management, UCaaS, business applications, and AI-powered analytics. Under Larry’s leadership, Atlantic expanded its footprint through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. The additions of BrainSell and Interloop earlier this year further enhanced the company’s capabilities in technology implementation, data modernization, and AI. Throughout this evolution, Atlantic has earned a reputation for customer-centricity, innovation, and operational maturity.

As CEO, Jason will lead Atlantic’s long-term strategic vision and continue driving integration across its expanding portfolio of digital services and solutions. He has held leadership roles across operations, finance, IT, and corporate development, and has been instrumental in positioning Atlantic as a trusted transformation partner for SMB and mid-market clients.

“Our job is to help customers grow, and that starts by growing ourselves,” said Jason. “We’re evolving into a company that’s not just reactive but proactive. Not just a provider but a partner. I’m honored to lead Atlantic into this next phase of impact.”

As President, Adam will oversee Atlantic’s print division sales, public relations, partnerships, and employee experience. With his energetic leadership and people-first approach, Adam has played a key role in shaping Atlantic’s brand voice, culture, and go-to-market strategy.

“I’m passionate about how we show up for each other, our customers, and our community,” said Adam. “This is an opportunity to elevate our message and multiply our impact without losing sight of what makes Atlantic special.”

In his role as Chairman, Larry will continue to support Jason and Adam while focusing on long-term company strategy, customer relationships, and leadership mentorship.

“This isn’t about stepping back. It’s about stepping into a new kind of stewardship,” Larry added. “Our foundation is strong, and our future is even stronger.”
