Cingari Family Markets to Host Ribbon-Cutting for Newly Renovated ShopRite of Derby

Cingari Family Markets, the family-owned and operated Connecticut-based supermarket company, will officially celebrate the grand re-opening of its newly remodeled ShopRite of Derby with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 22. The store, located at 49 Pershing Drive, added amenities aimed at enhancing the customer shopping experience. The Cingari family will celebrate alongside Derby’s Mayor, Joseph L. DiMartino, and Connecticut State Representative Nicole Klarides-Ditria as well as other community leaders.

The ShopRite of Derby store recently completed a major renovation, transforming the store into a modern, customer-focused shopping destination – while staying true to the Cingari family’s longtime focus on quality and community. Key improvements include:

  • Expanded Grab-and-Go and Prepared Foods: Discover an even broader selection of delicious take-and-bake and ready-to-eat entrées and sides – perfect for busy days and effortless dinners.
  • Reimagined Floral and Produce Departments: Experience a fresh new look spotlighting seasonal and locally sourced fruits and vegetables, and stunning floral arrangements for every occasion.
  • Upgraded Specialty Departments: From artisanal baked goods to premium including seafood, deli favorites and dairy offerings, customers can enjoy enhanced selections and improved customer convenience across the store.
  • Sustainability and Energy Improvements:  Energy-efficient refrigeration, upgraded freezer units and modern lighting were designed to better showcase products while reducing the store’s environmental impact.
