Trusteed Plans Services Data Breach May Expose Health & ID Data for Nearly 20,000

A data breach at Trusteed Plans Services potentially exposed Social Security numbers, DOB, and health info for 19,775 individuals.

What Happened

On December 26, 2024, Trusteed Plans Services Corporation noticed unusual activity in its computer environment. An investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor accessed personal data. Notification was sent to those affected on September 16, 2025.

Data at Risk

Included among the potentially compromised data are:

  • Dates of Birth
  • Social Security Numbers
  • Health Information

Why It Matters

With exposure of health and identifying information, individuals face increased risk of identity theft and misuse of personal health data. Unauthorized bills or claims, fraudulent financial activity, or misuse of health information are among possible threats. Such breaches often also lead to increased spam, phishing, or scams leveraging stolen data.
