Transition is an internal shift that occurs when moving from one “season” to the next. This is exactly what transpired for Kingdom entrepreneur and International Bestselling Author, Megan Bruiners, at the beginning of the pandemic. She was challenged to adopt a growth mindset after being retrenched from her previous employer as a senior flight attendant for fourteen years.

According to Megan, the pandemic is controlled by external factors which presents new opportunities depending on an individual’s perspective. She further elaborates that we are living in a new digital era where corporates are stepping out of their comfort zones to pursue their unfulfilled dreams of starting a business.

After struggling with people pleasing, self-doubt and lack of confidence, Megan was awakened to her purpose and wrote her first book “Unmasking Purpose: A guide to overcoming addiction and discovering purpose”, which depicts her journey to wholeness while embarking on the road of uncertainty.

The author is driven by her ‘why’ while being aligned to her purpose as she represents minority groups who regards themselves as overlooked, first generation entrepreneurs and authors as well as the underdogs in the marketplace. She is on a mission to blaze a trail for the next generation to be wealth creators as they break dysfunctional generational patterns, cultivate a culture of abundance and influence on a global scale while leaving a generational legacy behind.

She states that the three secrets to positioning oneself as a pioneer in the marketplace and to shift from obscurity to top authority are:

1.) Be authentic 

We have been given the gift of creativity and innovation and should not function from a carbon copy of someone else. There are original ideas locked up on the inside of us, waiting to solve the problem of our ideal clients that only we can deliver because of how we have been uniquely designed. Comparison steals our joy and it’s best to stay in our own lane.

2.) Not seeking the approval of others

When you understand your assignment and what you have been created to do in the lives of others, you won’t need anyone’s permission to say “YES” to new opportunities, 5-6 figure contracts and walking unapologetically in your identity. You are a conduit of destiny and favor, if only you believe.

3.) Confronting fears and negative mindset blocks

Not all fears are bad and has the potential to catapult you into greatness. However, identifying the fear and limiting beliefs that are not serving you well is pivotal. You won’t overcome what you not willing to confront. Replace the broken belief and false narrative that has been keeping you hostage by renewing the mind with positive affirmations. When you think right, you will act accordingly. “

A healthy and unwavering mindset is the most powerful weapon one can possess. Whatever the belief system deems to be truthful becomes reality. Megan concludes that if one decides to live their dream and be the thought leader or 1% top authority in a particular industry without a huge following, they can!
