About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

The Crypto Market Is Heating Up In 2025 With BTC Hitting Multiple Highs Learn How To Capitalize At Upcoming Cboe Webinar

by Meg Flippin Benzinga

  • Cboe will host a virtual webinar explaining the current state of the cryptocurrency market on July 17 at 11 a.m. ET.

  • The crypto market has been taking off, driven by factors such as a friendlier regulatory environment and increased institutional adoption.

  • Experts including the Senior Director of Cboe Labs will give investors an overview of the crypto market and Cboe’s offerings in the space.

Nishank Modi, Senior Director of Cboe Labs, and Gianni Di Poce, Analyst at The Mercator LLC, will lead the session, giving investors an up-close look at the digital assets market and Cboe's suite of cryptocurrency products, including trading and data solutions designed to support institutional and retail participation in this growing market.

Cryptocurrency Market Heating Up

Ever since President Donald Trump took office, the cryptocurrency market has been heating up. Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency, has hit multiple all-time highs this year - with the most recent one in May - and it's not the only digital coin to see gains.

Increased institutional adoption of cryptocurrency from the likes of Fidelity, BlackRock, endowments, pension funds and even sovereign wealth funds has contributed to this growth. Other factors driving the market include the introduction of stablecoins – a type of cryptocurrency pegged to the value of another asset, typically the U.S. dollar – more clarity on the regulatory front and growth in decentralized finance or DeFi.

The White House has signaled its support for cryptocurrency, which has helped the market take off in 2025. President Trump has called for the creation of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and a U.S. Digital Asset Stockpile. Meanwhile, in June, Congress passed the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins Act or GENIUS Act, which establishes rules around stablecoins. Mode and Di Poce will explain all this and much more.

Opportunities Within The Cryptocurrency Market

The webinar will provide an overview of the current cryptocurrency landscape, recent market movements and regulatory updates as well as provide a deep dive into Cboe’s approach to digital assets and discuss its broad product offering.

Investors will learn how Cboe’s products work, including its Cash-Settled Bitcoin and Ether Margin Futures, Cboe Bitcoin U.S. ETF Index Options (CBTX), Cboe Mini Bitcoin U.S. ETF Index Options (MBTX), Cboe Bitcoin U.S. ETF Index FLEX Options and Spot Bitcoin ETFs. Investors will also learn how Cboe supports transparency, reliability and innovation in the crypto space, something welcome in an industry that has been marred by scams and fly-by-night exchanges.

Live Q&A Session

Capping off the webinar will be a live Q&A session in which attendees can submit questions directly to Mode and Di Poce about the current state of cryptocurrency and Cboe’s broad product offering, why Cboe stands out from the pack and how investors can take advantage of this growing market. Traders and investors will learn what the regulatory environment looks like now and in the future, all with an eye toward managing risk.

The event is geared toward both veteran cryptocurrency investors as well as those starting out or anyone looking for ways to get in on the cryptocurrency craze – without losing their investment dollars. Click here to register now!
