About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Find Homeless People Announces Nearly 13,000 Homeless and At-Risk People Supplied With Essential Goods Since January 2021

According to a count conducted March 22, 2022, Find Homeless People has assisted 12,912 people by giving away 2,137 pounds of essential goods including food, water, new clothes and blankets, hygiene kits, and more. Over the past 14 months, volunteers were led by Cesar Hernandez into highly populated homeless regions of Los Angeles and Orange County, California (including 41 trips to Skid Row). Many of the homeless and at-risk people we encounter lack the mobility necessary to access better resources, which is why we are taking essential goods to them constantly.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, Find Homeless People takes a two-pronged holistic approach to stop homelessness by focusing on social integration and self-employment first. When our volunteers meet a homeless person, we interview them to create a searchable profile for our public database that family members or kin could find when searching for someone online. Our database gets homeless people identified and back in contact with loved ones to help them reintegrate back into society – which is key to sustaining mental health and preventing suicide.

In addition to community outreach, we created The Business Playbook; which is a guidebook to self-employment explaining how anyone can support theirself by forming a business or fitting into an existing brand. The Business Playbook is available for free with five full weeks of free mentoring included at FindHomelessPeople.org. 100% of sales from The Business Playbook go directly to supporting homeless people in Los Angeles County and Orange County, CA.

We need your help. Any donation to Find Homeless People is 100% tax-deductible and 100% of your gift goes directly to essential goods that our volunteers will deliver at Skid Row and other highly populated homeless ares in Los Angeles County and Orange County, California.

About FindHomelessPeople.org

Our mission is to improve the lives of homeless people in Los Angeles County and Orange County California including anyone recently in custody or formerly incarcerated to provide the guidance needed for a fresh start to recovery.
