PTT devices improve clarity of communication. PTT enhances sound quality and improves perceptibility of spoken words by eliminating unnecessary background noise. PTT also prevents SCI background conversations from being inadvertently transmitted onto unrelated calls or conferences.Secure. The National Telecommunications Security Working Group (NTSWG) has recently issued new CNSSI 5000 guidance for collaboration in secure spaces. The use of wired, push-to-talk handsets is recommended together with TSG approved endpoints. The advice to use PTT is repeated by the DoD's Memorandum on the use of Collaboration Peripherals in Secure Spaces.Simple. The PTT capabilities of these phones are not complex. The user simply presses a button on the handset when talking.
