Exploring the First China Public Safety Technology Equipment Exhibition

By: Get News

On September 7, the first China Public Safety Technology Equipment Exhibition (Lianyungang) opened in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province. This exhibition is the inaugural event under the framework of the Global Public Safety Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang), themed "Safety Without Borders, Development Unimpeded." It features 45 leading domestic companies in the public safety sector and law enforcement equipment specialists. The exhibition is hosted by the First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security of China.

The exhibition lasts for six days, covering over 6,000 square meters and divided into five exhibition areas, showcasing advanced technologies and the latest products in criminal technology, protective equipment, traffic management, counter-terrorism rescue, and communication command. Among the highlights is the Hornet T800 multi-scenario riot control device, which integrates functions such as tear gas, restraint, and electric shock. This device has garnered widespread attention from attendees and media representatives. The Hornet T800 is a Chinese-developed non-lethal device that combines multiple functions—including tear gas, restraint, electric shock, dazzling light, and law enforcement recording—into a compact and portable unit, providing police officers with various effective and safe means of control. It is currently being gradually adopted by police and armed police units across several provinces and cities in China.

On September 9, the Global Public Safety Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) 2024 Conference will also take place in Lianyungang. This year’s theme is "Cooperation and Win-Win Situations Amidst Change: Building a Global Public Safety Community," with over 2,100 participants, including law enforcement officials and renowned experts from 122 countries, regions, and international organizations, such as Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, and Interpol. Throughout the conference, the keywords "communication," "cooperation," and "safety" remain prominent. The forum aims to promote and deepen global public safety cooperation, fostering open, efficient, and pragmatic exchanges to enhance global public safety governance.

The exhibition held under the forum framework aims to deepen technical exchanges and international cooperation in public safety technology equipment, sharing beneficial experiences in applying technology to public safety practices and collectively improving the capacity and standards for maintaining public safety. It also seeks to help Chinese public safety technology equipment companies establish extensive connections with international stakeholders, providing practical and effective technical solutions to meet the public safety governance needs of various countries.

Moving forward together, the Global Public Safety Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) will remain committed to its original intention, face changes head-on, continue to advocate a people-centered public safety concept, and uphold the principles of discussion, construction, and sharing. The forum aims to gather strength from countries around the world to advance cooperation in public safety, serving global development and ensuring that the benefits of safe development reach more people equitably across nations.
