At Texas Tech University, Amelia channels her empathy into action. As a student representative for the Department of Social Work and Anthropology, she helps ensure that student voices are heard and valued. Through her leadership with the Volunteer Service Team at the Wesley Foundation, she organizes outreach programs that bring students together in service of the Lubbock community.

For Amelia, helping others isn't simply an extracurricular activity — it's a calling. After earning her bachelor's degree, she plans to continue her education and pursue a master's in social work, with the hope of working in hospitals serving rural and underserved populations. "I hope to provide resources and a sense of hope to patients and their families," she shared.
