As AI continues to transform industries at an unprecedented pace, Dr. Jodie Lobana is spearheading efforts to spotlight urgent challenges, including biases embedded in AI systems, escalating concerns about safety, and the widespread lack of readiness for the arrival of AI agents. Dr. Lobana served as one of 21 members of the International Internal Audit Standards Board (IIASB), contributing to the development of global internal audit standards released in January 2024, which will be implemented across the world starting January 2025. In 2023, she presented to Chief Audit Executives from United Nations agencies and international development banks in Washington, DC, and helped ensure that the standards addressed the unique needs of these public sector organizations.
