Alternate Ground - Alien Abduction Film Lands on Amazon Video

By: PRLog

BOSTON - Nov. 12, 2021 - PRLog -- ParaAct Entertainment is proud to announce the release of its first feature film, Alternate Ground, a mystery/drama starring Owen Myre (Terrifier 2), Demitra Papadinis (The Folklorist), Michael Coppola (Loud Places) and Ethan Boucher (Dystopia: Capitol City), and is directed by Daniel Groom.

Alternate Ground is the story of Riley Mcdowell (Owen Myre) who is found on the street after disappearing in the middle of the night. With his strange behavior increasing and lack of medical answers, alien abduction may be the only explanation. Filming took place on Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith, New Hampshire. Other filming locations included Boston, Brookline, Milton and Randolph, Massachuestts.

"I'm excited to release this movie during a time where alien activity is being acknowledged by news outlets and and the push to explore space is on the rise again," said director Daniel Groom. "I did not think that would happen when we were in production."

Having earned 13 awards total in categories for acting, score, audience choice and best feature, Alternate Ground finished its 2020-2021 festival run at the Lonely Seal International Film and Music Festival in Arlington, MA with the film's first public screening on opening night.

"I'm mostly looking forward to people seeing how realistic we made the alien encounters seem in Alternate Ground," said Owen Myre, who received three awards for his acting. "I can't wait for the release, it's been long awaited. ''

Ethan Boucher, who plays Riley's older brother, Bradley, added,  "I enjoyed filming in all the picturesque and dark locations chosen for this movie, which was very fitting to the telling of this paranormal story.

Los Angeles based Indie Rights is the distributor for the film and now available on Amazon Video and Google Play.
