Known for her earthy vocal tones and captivating stage presence, Major Zulu has earned recognition as one of Australia’s most compelling live performers. Her music, which fuses gospel roots with jazz, soul, and R&B influences, transforms each performance into a deeply emotional journey.
Originally from Zambia, Zulu’s musical path has spanned continents, from her early days singing in gospel choirs to collaborations with Grammy-winning band Basement Jaxx, and a creative period in Paris that shaped her signature sound. Her work reflects the richness of these experiences, combining personal storytelling with powerful melodies that connect across cultures.
