New Test Cloud capabilities help teams expand coverage and reduce maintenance work so they can release software faster, while building toward UiPath’s dark testing factory vision

(NYSE: PATH), a leader in business orchestration and automation, today announced new and planned enhancements to UiPath Test Cloud that enable teams to execute tests autonomously, explore applications with AI agents, and automate more of the testing lifecycle. Together, these enhancements help quality engineering teams expand coverage, reduce maintenance effort, and accelerate software delivery, key steps in the creation of the fully autonomous dark testing factory.

Building toward the dark testing factory

Traditional test automation still depends on people to write scripts, run tests, investigate failures, and update automations as applications change. That maintenance burden makes it harder for testing teams to keep pace with AI-accelerated software development.

UiPath’s dark testing factory vision extends beyond automating individual test cases. It treats testing as a continuous operating model that can respond to application changes, identify where testing is needed, execute the work, interpret results, and maintain coverage across the application portfolio. Automation becomes part of a broader system rather than the end goal.

With new Test Cloud capabilities forming the building blocks of this model, AI agents and automation take on more of the testing and maintenance work, while quality engineering professionals set the conditions for effective testing, resolve ambiguity, and remain responsible for risk and release decisions. This moves their focus from running tests to managing quality.

What’s new in UiPath Test Cloud

UiPath Test Cloud provides a central platform for managing and orchestrating testing across an application portfolio. These new capabilities extend that foundation to include:

• Autonomous test execution: UiPath Autopilot™, an AI-powered assistant for testing teams, can interpret a manual test and execute it against an application without requiring prebuilt automation; available in October 2026.
• Autonomous Exploration: Testers can define a goal for an AI agent, which explores an application, investigates potential issues, and reports its findings for review; available in October 2026.
• Testing AI-infused applications and agents: Test Cloud helps teams evaluate applications and AI agents whose outputs may vary between runs. Through UI and API interactions, teams can use semantic and AI-based verification to assess whether an application achieved its intended outcome; public preview available in December 2026.
• Playwright integration: Playwright is an open-source framework for creating automated end-to-end tests for web applications. For organizations already using Playwright, the Test Cloud integration will allow teams to run those tests through Test Manager and connect them to broader test management and orchestration without replacing their current framework; public preview available in October 2026.
• UiPath Delegate: UiPath Delegate is an enterprise computer-use agent that can automate routine workflows around test runs while testers remain responsible for triage and quality decisions; public preview available in October 2026.
