Planned curriculum will focus on emotional regulation, ADHD, autism, and neurodivergent relationships
PHOENIX, AZ / ACCESS Newswire / August 5, 2026 / Jheri South announced that she is developing an international training and certification program for coaches who support neurodivergent individuals, couples, and families.

The program will focus on frameworks for emotional regulation, self-trust, communication, motivation, and relationship dynamics in the context of ADHD, autism, and AuDHD. She plans to train coaches internationally in the frameworks used across her programs.
A Master Certified ADHD Coach and Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria specialist, South teaches ADHD internationally and works with neurodivergent individuals, couples, and families.
"Focus follows feelings," she said. "When people learn to regulate their emotions and rebuild their self-trust, they can begin making changes that are more sustainable in everyday life."
A Career Shaped by Personal Experience
South did not begin her career expecting to work in ADHD coaching. Her path grew out of her own late diagnosis, her experience raising seven neurodivergent children, and years spent searching for answers for her family.
During a serious mental health crisis involving one of her children, she began exploring forms of support beyond the systems and guidance available at the time. South said coaching offered practical tools her family could understand and use.
That experience changed the direction of her professional work.
She was diagnosed with ADHD at age 40 and is the mother of seven neurodivergent children, six of whom have both autism and ADHD, commonly referred to as AuDHD. Her husband is also neurodivergent.
Her coaching draws on professional training and lived experience. Rather than describing neurodivergent people as broken or deficient, she focuses on helping clients better understand how they process emotion, pressure, communication, and change.
The Philosophy Behind the Program
South's work is built around the view that emotional regulation should be addressed alongside focus, productivity, and behavior.
"ADHD is an emotional issue, and I coach the 90 percent that everyone else ignores," she said, describing her belief that much of the emotional experience associated with ADHD receives less attention than challenges involving focus and organization.
Her approach examines how emotions may influence self-trust, motivation, communication, relationships, and follow-through. She also believes that many neurodivergent individuals have spent years carrying shame because they lacked information that helped explain their experiences.
The frameworks are designed to help clients identify patterns, understand their responses, and use practical tools suited to their needs and circumstances.
South also views reinvention as an important part of her work. After rebuilding her own life following major personal and professional changes, she carried that experience into her coaching practice and program development.
Preparing Other Coaches to Apply the Frameworks
The certification is intended to organize South's methods into a structured training model for other coaches.
"Training coaches is one of the most practical ways to make these tools available to families I may never personally meet," she said.
Her work has extended across educational and community settings. She created and taught an eight-week mindset curriculum in the school system, led neurodivergence training for educators and administrators, and taught for two years in Sheriff Lamb's Youth Redirection Program in San Tan Valley, Arizona.
She also co-founded the THRIVE with ADHD Transformation Program with Althea Academy and delivers weekly ADHD webinars to an international audience.
Before entering the neurodivergence field, South built businesses across several industries and operated a dance studio in Mesa, Arizona for 13 years. She also worked in broadcasting and later brought her experience in entrepreneurship, teaching, and public speaking into her coaching practice.
Expanding Into Autism and Neurodivergent Relationships
South is also developing programs for autistic adults and neurodivergent couples.
The autistic adult cohort is being designed around how participants may process emotion, communication, relationships, and everyday demands. It is intended as a distinct program rather than a modified version of an ADHD offering.
Her work with couples will focus on marriages in which one or both partners experience ADHD, autism, or communication differences that may not have been fully recognized. The program is intended to help couples identify recurring patterns, communicate more effectively, and better understand how each partner processes emotions and experiences.
Another planned initiative, Reset Mastery, is a 12-week advanced program for graduates of South's foundational coaching work. It is designed to help participants apply the tools they have learned in everyday situations.
She is also writing her first book, which will examine ADHD through the lens of emotional regulation and the challenges that can extend beyond attention and productivity.
