Bioavailability Enhancement: Vitamin & Mineral Absorption Report Released

The Founder of Nutrionics™ Brian Yeakey, has authored and released a new report explaining some of the common factors which influence bioavailability of vitamins and minerals in food.

-- Brian Yeakey of Nutrionics™ is pleased to be sharing new information about the way the body absorbs nutrients from food, and the factors that can enhance this absorption—what is commonly referred to in the field as bioavailability. In his new report, Yeakey explains why some vitamins and minerals have such low bioavailability and what can be done to change this.

As Brian Yeakey’s new article covers, some of the most common and necessary minerals—which people consider to be the building blocks of good health—have very poor bioavailability. This includes iron, which ranges from less than 1% to 30% absorption rate, and zinc, which ranges from 10% to 50% absorbability.

As the report details, this represents a significant loss, and reflects an often inefficient system of delivery and digestion.

As such, it has been his mission with Nutrionics™ to consider how the bioavailability of these nutrients can be unlocked or enhanced, and therefore their full health and wellness benefits can be accessed.

One theory that Brian Yeakey’s new report presents is that minerals could be delivered in an ionically charged form, using new research on bioelectricity to consider how the body could uptake more vitamins and minerals without having to expend more energy to extract these components from food.

In simpler terms, Yeakey and his team are interested in how these vital minerals can be separated from the other substances they come bound to within foods; those which often preclude its full uptake. One example of this is magnesium, which is bound to phytins. Phytins, which are found in grains, seeds, nuts, and legumes form, can insoluble complexes that reduce the digestibility and absorption of magnesium.

As his report for Nutrionics™ detailed, “For absorption to occur, your body must ‘liberate’ those minerals from their complexes to get them in their ionic forms, and it’s not always an easy process.”

Yeakey continued, “That’s why we are interested in what happens when the minerals are already in their ionic forms. Or in other words, when they’re ready to be absorbed as-is. We believe this cuts down on your body’s adenosine triphosphate (ATP) requirements significantly—that is, its energy requirements—and gives you complete control over how much minerals you’re taking, so you can be sure you’re achieving a truly balanced mineral nutrition, where nothing’s impeding another’s digestion, absorption, or utilization.”

As the article concluded, Nutrionics™ is currently exploring how this can be achieved most effectively, and is releasing new wellness products they believe can ensure greater bioavailability.
