Additionally, Ms. Cantinieri holds numerous certifications earned over the years, including her most recent from the American Institute of Healthcare Compliance, certifying her as a medical documentation professional. One of her proudest moments was earning a health care compliance certification, a rigorous process that included three full days of classes followed by a challenging exam.

Though Ms. Cantinieri started her career as a nurse, her career development has been very fulfilling. She also encourages women in the medical field to keep learning. Ms. Cantinieri is always seeking new knowledge and is currently studying to become a certified coder.

In her current role at Zimmet Healthcare Services Group LLC, Ms. Cantinieri assists clients with reimbursement and compliance. She oversees clinical operations to ensure that services meet quality standards and leads the clinical team. "In long-term care, I'm always interested in compliance," she says, "That's really what I do. This part of the firm is involved with compliance, making sure their coding for reimbursement and documentation is compliant."
