Reinforced Structure Supports Machining Stability
The ADI-II series uses an HT250 cast-iron body with a T-shaped base. According to DMNC's product documentation, the castings undergo three tempering treatments and one year of natural aging to reduce internal stress, stabilize the structure and minimize deformation. The T-shaped base prevents worktable overhang and upward tilting. Internal reinforcing ribs increase rigidity.
For manufacturers assessing a die sinking machine, the electrical design is another consideration. The ADI-II cabinet separates high-voltage and low-voltage circuits to reduce electromagnetic interference. Built-in air conditioning supports temperature management for electronic components, complementing the mechanical design during operation.
Control Software Adapts to Different Cavities
DMNC's Windows-based software supports in-program editing, automatic program generation and an expert system backed by a machining-process database. Operators can select process modules according to workpiece material and cavity type. The ADI450-II product introduction also specifies a 19-inch industrial touch screen for machine operation.
The control system supports simultaneous multi-axis motion and orbit functions, including free orbit, quadrant orbit and spherical orbital machining. Dedicated circuits cover cemented carbide, high-speed graphite machining and mirror finishing. These functions provide options for matching the machining strategy to electrode material, cavity geometry and the required surface condition.
Inspection and Application Support Guide Selection
DMNC's inspection equipment includes laser interferometers, surface roughness testers and other inspection tools. The company's product introduction describes checks of positioning accuracy, repeat positioning accuracy, straightness and squareness, alongside inspection of machined surfaces. This approach connects machine geometry checks with the finished surface requirements relevant to mold production.
Application examples in the supplied materials include eyewear, relay and semiconductor molds, together with mirror-finished samples. DMNC also identifies automotive, electronics, home appliances and packaging among its application areas. These examples provide starting points for evaluating specific mold requirements.
DMNC's production and R&D team includes more than 30 professionals across mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software development and machining technology. Manufacturers evaluating a sinker EDM machine for sale can discuss drawings, workpiece materials, electrode plans and target finishes with DMNC to identify a suitable configuration and sample-machining approach.
