BetterQA on AI-generated code: a client’s first users should not be their first testers

The Romanian independent QA and software testing company is building its services around the gap between how fast AI now writes code and how little of it anyone verifies, and is opening a complimentary security audit to a limited number of companies.

CLUJ-NAPOCA, Romania - September 17, 2026 - BetterQA, an independent software testing (QA) company founded in 2018, is positioning its services around a problem it says is arriving faster than the industry is answering it: teams are shipping AI-generated code at a pace nobody is testing it at.

The company’s argument is that the constraint has moved. An AI agent will implement the requirement it is given, and it will do so faithfully. The requirement is usually the weak part, so the defect is written into the work from the start, survives generation intact, and is found by a human only after the fact. Speed of production has gone up. Speed of verification has not.

Review has degraded in practice too. Checking AI output slides toward rubber-stamping, because the volume makes anything else impractical, and a codebase soon grows past the point where the person who generated it can hold it in their head. Failures then appear where nobody modelled them, such as scheduled jobs colliding.

The tooling BetterQA builds in house exists to work at that pace: BugBoard for test management and AI test generation, Flows for browser automation, Auditi for WCAG accessibility, BetterFlow for per-task time records, and an AI Security Toolkit covering SAST, DAST, SCA and the OWASP LLM Top 10. The last of those is the one worth drawing out. Testing AI-generated code raises questions a functional test suite was never designed to ask, and prompt injection and data exfiltration are among them. BetterQA runs those checks as part of the engagement rather than as a separate security exercise.

Tudor Brad expects this class of service to be in demand for roughly the next two to three years, until AI systems become reliable enough to verify their own output. He offers that as his own read of where the work is going rather than as a forecast.

Engagements begin with a two-week proof of concept before BetterQA invoices, so a prospective client sees the team and the tooling against their own codebase first.

The company holds ISO 9001, ISO 27001:2022, ISO 14001 and ISO 13485 certification, and is a member of the Avetta Consortium.

“Everybody’s vibe coding now, but nobody’s testing everything that vibe coding produces,” said Tudor Brad, who founded BetterQA with Ana Brad in 2018. “You no longer need developers as much, but you need people to test what AI agents are outputting before you send that to real humans. The human is the bottleneck, because the AI will implement the requirement if the requirement is good. Most of the time the requirements are not good. We ensure that the client’s first users are not also their first testers.”

Complimentary security audit for companies shipping AI-generated code

BetterQA is opening a complimentary security audit to 10 companies building with AI-generated code. It runs the AI Security Toolkit described above: SAST, DAST, SCA and OWASP LLM Top 10 coverage. The LLM portion is the reason the offer exists. Prompt injection and data exfiltration are live risks in products assembled by AI agents, and they sit outside what a functional test suite is built to find.

The terms are fixed. A mutual non-disclosure agreement is signed before any work begins. The applying company must own the systems being audited, or hold documented authorisation to have them tested, and companies that cannot meet that condition are not eligible. BetterQA does not scan systems on an assurance it cannot see evidence for. The audit requires access to the code or to a running environment, arranged under that agreement.

What it is not, stated plainly: it is not a full penetration test, it is not a certification, and it is not an attestation. It produces no badge, seal or mark. The deliverable is a findings report describing what the toolkit found on the systems it was given, which is not the same as a statement that a product is secure or that nothing further remains to be found.

Companies can apply by email to brad@betterqa.co. The number is a capacity figure rather than a deadline, and applications are taken in the order they arrive.
