San Francisco, California--(Newsfile Corp. - September 23, 2025) - Guepard, the serverless data platform bringing Git-like version control to terabyte-scale datasets, today announced the public launch of its self-service platform and MCP (Model Context Protocol) for AI agents. The launch follows the company's $2.1 million pre-seed funding round backed by Schematic Ventures and UC Berkeley Skydeck as well as various operators and executives.
Founded by CEO Koutheir Cherni, Guepard solves one of the biggest pain points for enterprises and AI adoption: outdated, fragmented ways of handling data. "The current data provision architecture cannot support the rise of AI agents," said Cherni. "With Guepard, we can copy one terabyte of data in five seconds instead of ten hours."

Two Launch Pillars
As of today, Guepard is rolling out two major initiatives:
- Self-Service Platform: Every new user can sign up and receive a free AWS-backed server to host and experiment with data. Developers gain access to Guepard's instant branching, snapshots, and time-travel features at no cost.
- MCP for AI Agents: A dedicated layer enabling AI agents to safely operate on isolated copies of data, track every modification, and roll back when errors occur. This directly addresses one of the major risks holding back enterprise AI adoption.
Investor Backing and Market Momentum
Cherni emphasized that the round was timed to align with the MCP launch. "We wanted the announcement to create maximum momentum," he explained. "Ninety five percent of AI pilots are failing. With Guepard, enterprises can finally integrate AI agents into their workflows without fear of breaking critical data."
The $2.1M raise provides Guepard with two to three years of growth and signals confidence from investors with deep technical expertise. Many serve as advisors, guiding the roadmap and making introductions to potential customers.
Looking Ahead
Over the next 12 to 18 months, Guepard's target is deployment across 25 to 30 enterprise customers in the U.S. and Europe, driving what Cherni calls "product market fit for the age of AI agents."
"People do business with people, but AI agents do business with data," said Cherni. "We are obsessed with unlocking new possibilities for enterprises: faster releases, safer adoption of AI, and a fundamentally better way to manage data."
