Two-day event congregates life science leaders to push boundaries, embrace data technology innovation, and achieve the extraordinary in drug development
eClinical Solutions LLC, a global provider of digital clinical software and services, will bring together global technology and biopharma leaders from October 29-30 for its seventh annual client and partner conference, ENGAGE 2025. The company will host over 200 attendees at The Bellevue Hotel in Philadelphia, PA, including representatives from over 75 life science organizations such as Bristol Myers Squibb, Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Immunovant, and Kailera Therapeutics, and industry partner corporate sponsors including PwC.
As cycle time becomes the new currency of drug development, life sciences R&D leaders are looking to expedite adoption of AI and risk management for greater efficiency across the clinical trial lifecycle. As such, this year’s agenda focuses on the latest advancements in AI-driven automation, agentic AI, and risk-based quality management (RBQM) to accelerate clinical trials.
“According to data reported by clinical trial leaders in the annual Industry Outlook Survey, organizations are doubling down on AI adoption, with 72% of respondents already having integrated AI across multiple workflows or actively exploring AI,” said Raj Indupuri, CEO and co-founder of eClinical Solutions. “The life sciences industry is looking for best practices and hands-on guidance for tech foundations and data strategies that support AI adoption and speed timelines. That’s why ENGAGE focuses on strategically and tactically exploring how modern data stacks reduce fragmentation for frictionless data flows in support of AI-automation, holistic risk management, and agentic AI.”
With the focus on acceleration and driving innovation, this year’s keynote speaker will be former Formula 1 and Indy 500 driver, international broadcaster, and author, Derek Daly. Daly will draw from his experience in the high-stakes world of professional motorsports, including his 17-year professional racing career, to share lessons in collaborating to become fast and pushing boundaries to attain breakthroughs.
Key themes and insights to look forward to at this year’s ENGAGE conference include:
AI and Automation
Rich Gleeson of Kailera Therapeutics shares the foundational role of seamless data integration in enabling AI-driven trials, illustrating how connected systems are essential for unlocking the full potential of this new technology. To that end, Nathan Johnson, VP, product management at eClinical Solutions will highlight new agentic AI and automation-driven mapping to eliminate time-intensive steps for data standardization and submission. Continuing the momentum, Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ Alex Crawford demonstrates how AI is set to revolutionize audit trail reviews, driving both efficiency and compliance. While Ian Shafer from PwC is set to highlight the power and necessity of process automation to reduce cycle times and bring therapies to market more efficiently. These engaging sessions will demonstrate real-world applications driving today’s rapid evolution of intelligent, tech-enabled clinical operations that scale clinical trial innovation.
Risk Management Strategies
Robin Rimsky of Forza Clinical presents a holistic review of RBQM strategies, while Alice Phung from Bristol Myers Squibb dives into a real-world protocol deviations use case, demonstrating risk mitigation in action and offering tangible takeaways for sponsors and sites alike. eClinical Solutions’ Nathan Johnson connects the dots between risk assessment and data review, offering a forward-looking view into how the AI-powered elluminate Clinical Data Cloud® is designed to support integrated risk and quality management in a single platform. Outside of traditional sessions, a dedicated RBQM roundtable will bring trial experts together to share their insights and discuss how organizations can adapt to the industry shift away from RBQM as a point solution toward risk mitigation fully integrated across the clinical trial system. Another panel session, “Data Management Industry Outlook,” will include Immunovant and Biogen leaders discussing practical ways data management, biostatistics, and programming can prepare for the future of clinical data and the evolution to risk-based data management (RBDM).
Data Intelligence
eClinical’s co-founder and CEO, Raj Indupuri, shares his vision on how the new data stack for modern clinical trials yields measurable value across time, systems, and resources and prepares organizations for the future. In parallel, Salam Ammus of BMS will share a case study on results of a system and data consolidation initiative. Jonathan Rowe and Andrew Johnston of ZS will echo this sentiment in session spotlights on portfolio-level RBQM and digitizing Integrated Data Review Plan (IDRP) capabilities to leverage centralized data for quality and efficiency at scale. Innovation and lessons convene at the ‘Change Makers Showcase,’ featuring argenx, Genmab, and Vertwo Advisory on their strategies for data innovation, including advice for change management that drives ROI from clinical data stack modernization.
