DOJA wins 2 awards at the IWSC 2023 competition - Bronze in best Contemporary Gin and Bronze for best Gin & Tonic

Mumbai, Maharashtra Apr 11, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - East Side Distillery, the creators of the world's first Indo-Japanese Gin DOJA (www.do-ja.com), announced today that they have been awarded 2 bronze medals in the International Wines and Spirits Competition (IWSC) 2023 held in London, UK, in the categories of best contemporary style of gin and best gin & tonic.

The International Wine & Spirit Competition has been the guide to quality global wines and spirits since 1970. The competition is led by renowned global drink industry experts and judges over 12,000 entries annually.

The panel of judges who evaluated Doja gin was comprised of David T Smith (gin consultant and communicator, chair judge for several international spirits competitions), Charlie Thomas (Berdmondsey Distillery Production Manager in London), Steven Magarry (CEO of Sydney Rum Distillery), Madhu Rajigani (Project Manager at Tulleeho Wine & Spirits Academy in Delhi) and Bernhard Schaefter (co-founder of the European Network of Spirits Experts). The medals were awarded by the team of judges tasting blind, in synchronicity, and based on consensus across the panel.

East Side Distillery, since its inception over a year ago, has continued to distinguish itself by recognition, not only in India but globally. First launched in November 2021, DOJA has been enjoyed by the increasing number of gin enthusiasts in India for its unique blend of Japanese & Indian botanicals - "2 cultures in 1 sip". "We are very pleased that we have been recognized as one of the best gins in the world", said Jai Anand, Founder of East Side Distillery. "As the Head Distiller & Global Brand Ambassador, winning this award also brings immense pride to us in the distilling team," said Victor De Benito, ESD's globally recognized distiller.

These two awards from the IWSC 2023 add to the existing medals already awarded to Doja Gin from The Spirits Business Global Gin Masters 2022 (Silver) and the Hong Kong IWSC 2022 (Silver).

East Side Distillery plans to expand its market reach in 2023 to select Asian, Middle East, and European Markets to capitalize on the current market success and recognition.
