The 17 instruments are complete and ready for shipment to Los Alamos ahead of schedule. When paired with a compatible neutron detector, each instrument enables precise measurement of neutron flux across nine decades of range.

In addition, auditors from the Laboratory verified GA-EMS' compliance with the Nuclear Quality Assurance-1 standard and issued confirmation that the company meets the rigorous quality and safety requirements for supplying components and services to facilities across the nuclear security enterprise. Following the successful audit, Los Alamos added GA-EMS to its Institutional Evaluated Suppliers List (IESL).

"These are two distinct but equally important milestones," said Scott Forney, president of General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems. "Delivering precision instrumentation and earning quality validation both reflect our long-standing commitment to advancing nuclear technologies and to collaborating closely with our government partners in support of the nation's critical initiatives."
