Algo Trading Space has launched a new educational course titled "Build a Portfolio of Expert Advisors," designed to teach algorithmic traders how to construct and manage diversified portfolios of automated trading systems. The course is now available through the Algo Trading Space Academy and on Udemy, where it is offered as the Trading Robots Master Class.
The course was developed by Petko Aleksandrov, founder of Algo Trading Space and a professional algorithmic trader with more than a decade of live trading experience. It addresses a common issue faced by retail algo traders, who often rely on a single Expert Advisor and find performance deteriorates when market conditions shift. The course presents an alternative framework based on portfolio construction, risk allocation, and long-term portfolio management.
Over the duration of the programme, participants are taken through the full process of building a diversified Expert Advisor portfolio. Topics covered include combining multiple strategy types such as scalping, grid, recovery, and trend-following, diversifying across assets and brokers, and selecting Expert Advisors based on verified performance data. The course also covers VPS setup for continuous automated trading, portfolio tracking through FXBlue and MyFXBook, and profit withdrawal strategies for traders treating algorithmic trading as a sustainable income-generating activity.
The curriculum is organised into six sections. An introduction outlines why portfolio trading is central to long-term algorithmic trading, and a second section walks through a real example portfolio, illustrating how diversification across strategies, assets, and brokers operates in practice. The third section focuses on money management, including starting capital rules, risk tolerance frameworks, drawdown control, and realistic return expectations.
Section four covers Expert Advisor evaluation and selection, drawing on real performance data rather than marketing claims. A fifth section addresses portfolio management, including VPS configuration and performance tracking tools. The final section covers long-term portfolio growth, including how to add new robots over time, how to retire underperforming Expert Advisors, and how to scale a portfolio responsibly.
The course is aimed at traders who already have basic familiarity with MetaTrader and Expert Advisors, including students who have completed the Algo Trading Start-Up course offered by the same platform. It is also positioned as relevant for traders operating funded accounts and prop firm challenges, where defined drawdown limits and structured capital allocation are particularly important. No programming or MQL5 coding knowledge is required at any point during the course.
Commenting on the launch, Petko Aleksandrov, Founder of Algo Trading Space, said the course reflects the approach his team applies to live and funded accounts. "Relying on a single robot has never been a sustainable long-term approach — markets change, strategies stop performing, and without diversification across strategies, assets, and brokers, traders are left exposed," Aleksandrov said. "This course reflects over a decade of real workflows from live account management and is designed to give traders a structured framework they can apply immediately."
The Build a Portfolio of Expert Advisors course is delivered through the Algo Trading Space Academy and is also available on Udemy as the Trading Robots Master Class. A free algo program remains available on the Algo Trading Space platform for traders exploring the fundamentals before committing to a full course.
Algo Trading Space is a platform focused on algorithmic trading, bringing together educational resources, Expert Advisors, trading software, and performance tracking tools for traders who operate automated strategies.
