Perfect Union Dispensaries Host In-store Fundraiser Through July in Support of National Nonprofit

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA - July 24, 2025 (NEWMEDIAWIRE) - MWG Holdings Group, Inc. Founded in 2019, the Last Prisoner Project is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the injustices of cannabis prohibition and the War on Drugs. Through advocacy, policy reform, and direct support, the organization works to release individuals still incarcerated for cannabis offenses and to repair the harms caused by criminalization.

MWG and the Last Prisoner Project have joined forces to raise funds for individuals incarcerated due to the War on Drugs since 2020. These funds are used to provide legal support, advocate for policy reform, offer reentry services, and support justice-impacted communities. 

In the past six years, the Last Prisoner Project has redistributed over $3.5 million to constituents in need through its Commissary Support Fund and Reentry Grant Program. The organization has provided pro bono legal counsel to more than 400 individuals, including clemency petitions, compassionate release motions, and early termination of supervised release. In California, LPP partnered with Assemblymember Mia Bonta to sponsor AB 1706, now considered a national model for retroactive cannabis relief.
