2022 Individual and Family Plans From UnitedHealthcare Are Available on the Health Insurance Marketplaces in 18 States Offering New, Affordable Benefits

  • UnitedHealthcare will offer Individual and Family plans on the Health Insurance Marketplace in 18 states: Ala., Ariz., Colo., Fla., Ga., Ill., La., Md., Mass., Mich., Nev., N.Y., N.C., Okla., Tenn., Texas, Va. and Wash. for plan year 2022.
  • New benefits in some states may include $0 primary care, dental and vision coverage, prescriptions as low as $3, and complimentary digital fitness classes.
  • Some plans also offer 24/7 virtual visits for urgent, primary and specialty care in English and Spanish, at no additional cost.
  • Marketplace plans play an important role in helping expand coverage by providing consumers a wide range of affordable options.

 

UnitedHealthcare® today announced its 2022 Individual and Family plans, which feature affordable coverage, new benefits, and a simplified enrollment and member service experience. Consumers can begin enrolling by visiting UHCExchange.com during the open enrollment period, Nov. 1, 2021, through Jan. 15, 2022 in most states.

Highlights of 2022 UnitedHealthcare Individual and Family plans include*:

  • $0 primary care.
  • Prescriptions as low as $3 at Walgreens and other preferred pharmacies.
  • Virtual visits at no additional cost.
  • Dental and vision coverage.
  • A $25 gift card for visiting the doctor.
  • Complimentary access to fitness classes from a leading national brand.
  • Health savings account options.
  • 20% off Walgreens branded health and wellness products.

  • Advantage+ Plans
    • Comprehensive coverage with embedded dental and vision benefits. Plans generally feature lower annual deductibles and lower out-of-pocket costs for visits, compared to our other plans.
  • Value+ Plans
    • Plans provide fundamental coverage with some additional benefits, such as up to six $0 primary care doctor visits and an HSA option.
  • Virtual First Plans
    • Convenient plans with unlimited 24/7 access to $0 virtual primary, urgent and specialty care, in both English and Spanish. Members can also access in-person care from our network providers when needed.
  • Essential+ Plans
    • Reliable coverage for serious illness or injury with a low or $0 monthly premium for those who are eligible for subsidies.

Shoppers can visit UHCExchange.com or call 1-800-806-0451 to enroll or change coverage during the open enrollment period, which runs from Nov. 1, 2021, to Jan. 15, 2022, in most states.

In 2021, the company offered exchange plans on the marketplace in 11 states, including Arizona, Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington. For 2022, UnitedHealthcare will expand its footprint to also include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan and Texas, bringing its plans to 18 states in total.
