Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall were not only husband and wife, they were film legends of the Golden Age of Hollywood. The two were legends on screen, and their real-life romance and eleven and a half-year marriage made them legends off screen.
The film “Bogie and Bacall” is scheduled to begin filming in 2015 and has a tentative release date in 2016. It will bring to the screen the story of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, revealing the secrets about this couple, their friends, and their time together in the Golden Age of Hollywood.
“I am saddened beyond belief about the passing of Lauren Bacall. I am disappointed that I never got a chance to speak with her and talk about her life with Bogie, and her many legendary friends. The last member of the original Rat Pack has now passed away. I offer my condolences to Ms. Bacall’s family, friends and fans,” said Helise Flickstein, screenwriter and producer of “Bogie and Bacall.”
Plans for “Bogie and Bacall” have not changed, which is scheduled to begin filming in the summer of 2015, she confirmed.
“The script has been completed and many cast members were in place before Lauren’s unfortunate death. I was looking forward to an opportunity to visit with her, and talk to a living legend. Sadly, that will not happen,” she added.
