American Quality Management Offers Solutions To Companies Affected By AS9100 D Revision

American Quality Management, a professional AS9100 consulting firm in Los Angeles, CA, has announced that starting September 2018, all 2009 AS9100 certificates will no longer be valid. Thus, they want to stress that businesses will need to contact a professional AS9100 consultant to help them determine what needs to be done to remain compliant. They want to emphasize that businesses should act on this as soon as possible to avoid any problems.

Connie Smith from American Quality Management says: "We are a consulting firm that will get your organization certified. Whether it's AS9100, AS9120, or any of the required ISO standards, such as ISO 9001:2015 or ISO 14001, we will provide solutions for your QMS, environmental, and safety programs. With the upcoming revisions to AS9100, it is vital that you contact us today to ensure that you remain compliant."

The changes to AS 9001:2015 started in September 2015, when the standard was published and the recommended transition period was 36 months. The next month, the IAQG General Assembly approved the transition plan and by May 2016, the final approval of AS 9100 was given. It went through final edits and was then released to the various publication bodies. Connie Smith explains: "In September 2016, our company started to work on the transition, which is when the standard was published in all three sectors, followed one month later by 9101, 9110, and 9120. The mandated aerospace auditor transition training in 1AQG languages became available in November and our auditors promptly completed their training on this so that we could better serve our clients."

The same month, the first phase of the OASIS Next Generation project was completed and a database became available onto which transition audit results could be entered. In June 2017, it became mandatory for all audits to use the new 9100/9110/9120:2016 standard and companies had to start using 9101:2016.

Connie Smith says: "In just a few months, the transition will be complete and all old certificates will no longer be valid. The time to take action is now." Those requiring AS9100 Revision D consulting are encouraged to contact American Quality Management as soon as possible so as not to miss the upcoming deadline.
