Company Update: The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) – Norway interested in 5-6 Boeing P-8 maritime spy planes: U.S. Navy

[Reuters] – Norway has expressed interest in buying five to six Boeing Co (BA.N) P-8 maritime surveillance planes, a senior U.S. Navy official said on Monday. Rear Admiral Dean Peters, program executive officer for anti-submarine warfare, assault and special missions programs, said the Navy had asked potential P-8 buyers to express their interest by next summer. “People are showing their interest in the plane,” Peters told Reuters. Read more on this. The Boeing Company (BA) , with a current value of $84.21B, opened at $130.84. Looking at the equity, the company’s one day range is $130.83 to $133.25 with the price of the stock fluctuating between $102.10 to $150.59 over the last 52 weeks. Priced at 15.32x this year’s forecasted earnings, BA shares are relatively inexpensive compared to the industry’s 21.99x forward p/e ratio. And for passive income investors, the company pays shareholders $4.36 per share annually in dividends, yielding 3.35%. According to a consensus of 16 analysts, the earnings estimate of $2.22 per share would be $0.60 better than the year-ago quarter and a $0.09 sequential increase. The full-year EPS estimate is $8.49, which would be a $0.77 better than last year. The quarterly earnings estimate is based on a consensus revenue forecast of the current quarter of $23.70 Billion. If realized, that would be a 3.42% decrease over the year-ago quarter. More recently, Morgan Stanley Initiated BA at Overweight (Jun 23, 2016). Previously, BofA/Merrill downgraded BA from Neutral to Underperform. The average price target for BA shares is $145.47, which is 11.18% above where the stock opened this morning.
