Cookie’s Kids Department Stores Analysis of 2019 School Uniform Fashion Trends

Durability, Colors, complexion-matching hues, figure-flattering styles and Material Types Play Prominent Role in Cookie’s Department Stores Analysis of 2019 School Uniform Fashion Trends.

New York, United States - July 26, 2018 /PressCable/

Launched in Jamaica, Queens, New York in 1975, Cookie’s Department Stores has expanded into the NYC marketplace as a seven-store emporium with locations all throughout the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens, quickly becoming the number-one school uniform headquarters in the U.S. Representatives of the Cookie’s brand regularly analyze changing uniform trends to always keep the stores up-to-date with regard to available fashions, and the situation is no different for the upcoming September 2018-2019 scholastic year.

Durability, colors and material types are going to play a prominent role in this school year’s clothing trends, according to a Cookie’s Kids analysis, with dirt-resistant and complexion-matching hues, figure-flattering styles and shapes, little-to-no dry cleaning necessities and other elements defining the scene.

“From everything we are seeing, important considerations when it comes to materials used in trendy school uniform pieces include durability (how many years a piece can be worn), dirt-resistant colors, colors that suit most complexions (experts suggest avoiding bright red hues because it is somewhat unflattering based on many people’s natural pigmentation), figure-flattering shapes and styles and the possibility of little or even no dry cleaning demands,” states a Cookie’s company spokesperson. “Our buyers are also taking note of trends that suggest specific climates should be considered, wherein winter uniforms – noteworthy to us because of the cold New York months – must be loose-fitting enough for kids to layer clothes beneath.”

Thirty-seven states, by the year 2000, had passed laws that enable local school districts to determine their own policies about uniforms, while a number of other local authorities have put in place policies of their own. For their part, Cookie’s reps believe if a crucial component of any definition of “uniforms” is the term “uniformity,” then it is important to envision a continuum of not only uniforms but dress codes and dress uniformity – a philosophy evident in every piece of premium-quality clothing the business sells.

In addition to a plethora of premium girls and boys clothing and school uniforms, Cookie’s also offers baby clothing, infant clothes, shoes and accessories.
