UPDATE 1-Lower coal, fuel surcharges hurt Norfolk Southern profit

CHICAGO, July 27 (Reuters) - U.S. railroad Norfolk Southern Corp on Monday reported a lower quarterly net profit that was hurt by a steep decline in coal freight shipments and falling fuel surcharge revenue.
