FASHION FESTIVAL a student production celebrating Fashion, Music, Art and Community at The OC Fairgrounds Costa Mesa Building stage on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 3:00PM.
PRLog - Apr. 9, 2014 - COSTA MESA, Calif. -- COSTA MESA, CA – APRIL 8, 2014  Lasting Legacy PR and Fashionomics LIVE present Fashion Festival; a student produced Runway Show celebrating fashion, music, art and community.  Created and produced by local High School students from several campuses throughout Orange County, this first year production includes talented students from several local High Schools: JSerra, Aliso Viejo, Claremont, Troy, Dana Hills, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills and The Academy.

The eclectic Fashion Festival is one of several entertainment acts at the Vital Link STEM & the Arts Career Showcase, in partnership with the OC Fair Imaginology, at the OC Fair & Event Center inside the Costa Mesa Building on April 12th at 3:00PM.  Admission is FREE.

The showcase will be a collaboration of exhibits coming together to create an engaging, interactive career exploration experience for students emphasizing careers in science, technology, engineering, math and the arts.

The Fashion Festival segment of the showcase is an opportunity for students to experience the tasks and energy required to develop a production. “Not only does the show provide students with a multitude of tasks, it allows them a fabulous internship opportunity on the business and creative side so they gain a variety of experiences affiliated in launching a new show while meeting fellow students from other local campuses, ” states Sherri Scheck-Merrill, Founder of the career-exploring program Fashionomics Live.

“Lasting Legacy PR is overseeing the technical and production for Fashion Festival and providing professional Actresses, Singers and Models, states a proud Traillan Suthers, Founder of Lasting Legacy PR Agency” Our talent is thrilled to be performing which includes Lauren Suthers, 13, nominee for “Best Teen Pop Artist” for the Indie Music Channel 2014 Awards.  Victoria Strauss, 14, from The New Muppet Movie and who recently walked LA Fashion Week for Tumbler and Tipsy.  Sophia Strauss, 11, who has appeared in music videos for Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran.  Lela Brown, 11, finalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent.  Samantha Elizondo, 14, Actress and Singer most recently on E! Factor X. Alexis Fowkles, 13, who plays “Annie”on ABC-TV’s  Modern Family.

Local businesses are supporting the students with show needs such as styling and clothing provided by LF Laguna, Crossroads Trading Costa Mesa and Sowell Jewelry Costa Mesa.  Sets were designed by students and manufactured by Majestic Home, Irvine, CA. Hair and Makeup are being provided by other Orange County based businesses, Bella by Design Studio, Dial M for Make-up, Acme Hairdressing, Marjan by Charisma & Mary Kay.

Students opting not to walk the runway volunteer for the popular Pop-Up Internships offered by Fashionomics Live. Production Assistance, Photography, Videography, Public Relations, Set Design, Props, Accessories and Styling are examples of the project-oriented Internships affiliated with the Fashion Festival located in the OC Fairgrounds Costa Mesa Building Saturday, April 12th at 3:00PM.
