It happened in the most unusual manner imaginable. SpareCash Friday night posted a tournament on their Facebook page that was supposed to be held in Hays Park, but due to "lack of parking" the game was moved to the beautiful Schenley Park, Pittsburgh PA. Even after residents proposed their fears of SpareCash players "Trashing the park." The pictures below show all the damage caused by the SpareCash players.
PRLog - Aug. 10, 2014 - Image 1 - Ripped Railway Tracks. SpareCash Players in Pittsburgh, are known to have superhuman strenght, like Tony Werkmeister who ran the entire 4 mile course in what is called a "Take It Or Leave It Challenge." It's believed, that after Tony collected $250 on Brides Trail his adrenaline could have been pumping so hard, that he was able to rip appart the train tracks running through the park. Police are still looking for an acceptable motive to book Tony, but say "if he can rip appart the tracks like that... we may want to call in SWAT to take this vandal down."
Image 2 - Broken Plants - This image was taken shortly after Tim Dobish ws seen in the same area Saturday afternoon collecting $75 in SpareCash using his smartphone. Witnesses say Tim violently ripped this leaf from a nearby tree and threw it to the ground where it lays now. Park officials stated that the leaf was not harmed in the incodent and won't be pressing charges against Tim.
Image 3 - Litter Everywhere - Mike Tulaba a SpareCash Playe who collected $60 on Saturday aftenoon in the #Pittsburgh game was seen near this crumpled chip bag just after collecting his cash. Although he was not eating any chips at the time, Wittnesses think they have the right man. When interviewed Mike was quoted as saying "Ewww, I don't even like chips."
Image 4 - Dislocated Branches - This branch which was at one time conviniently blocking the path next to Panthers Lake, was deliberately moved by Katie Barry a SpareCash Pittsburgh player who collected $55 in cash at the park this Satirday. When asked by park officials why she committed such an offence, Katie Stated "It was blocking the trail, I almost fell over it." Officials agreed the damage Katie caused was minimal and may have actually benefitted the park overall.
When questioned about the ordeal, Dale Scott Marion, Founder of SpareCash SRL said this. "There was over 70 people collecting cash in the park Saturday, we know this because we have a complete record of each casher who collected there. I have no explination as to why the leaf was violently ripped from the tree, but I assure you, no one ripped the railway tracks, that's just impossible."
The Pittsburgh Mayor was unavailable to comment on the incodent, We believe he was still at the park looking for SpareCash using his smartphone.
