On the downside


Hormel Foods (NYSE: HRL) disappointed with lower third quarter earnings and revenue.


First quarter earnings and revenue fell for J.M. Smucker (NYSE: SJM).

Investors locked in profits on Snap (NYSE: SNAP).


In the broad market, advancing issues outpaced decliners by a margin of nearly 9 to 8 on both the NYSE and on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 added 3 points to 2,447. Bitcoin soared $79 to $4,160.
