One driver was killed and the other ended up in the hospital facing criminal charges when a dump truck and gasoline truck crashed head-on near a bridge in rural Wake County Tuesday morning.

WE'RE HEARING THIS INVOLVES A DUMP TRUCK AND A GASOLINE TRUCK. SO THIS IS ON MILE PLANTATION ROAD AND PART OF MILD PLANTATION ROAD GOES OVER. I KNEW THE NOOSE RIVER AND THEN THROUGH THE TREES AND SKY 5 HAD A SHOT WHERE YOU COULD SEE THE 2 VEHICLES. IT APPEARS THAT THEY CRASHED HEAD ON. THIS IS MILE PLANTATION ROAD NEAR OLD BOCHUM ROAD IN WAKE COUNTY. IT IS JUST NORTH OF CLAYTON IN JOHNSTON COUNTY, BUT THIS PART IS IN WAKE COUNTY, OK, AS YOU SEE HERE IS SKY 5 SLOWLY MOVES OVER THE CRASH. HERE YOU CAN SEE THAT WHAT APPEARS TO BE A GASOLINE TRUCK AND THEN ALSO A DUMP TRUCK AMBULANCE IS ON THE PARAMEDICS THERE. THERE'S A LOT OF DEBRIS SCATTERED THERE ON THE ROAD. THEY HAVE STOPPED COMING ON TO THAT SECTION OF I'LL PLANTATION ROAD AS TROOPERS RESPOND TO THIS CRASH. THERE'S ALSO CONCERN ABOUT ANY GASOLINE OR HAZARDOUS MATERIAL SPILLED FROM THIS CRASH.
