Delta Air Lines eases Medallion status rules, offers free changes for basic economy

Delta Air Lines Inc. said Tuesday it would add more customer service staff and allow easier changes for its least-expensive seats for the rest of the year, which may help alleviate long call-center wait times. But the changes to its frequent-flier policies could have an even longer impact.
