MetaPhase has achieved ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification for its Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS), independently certified by Bureau Veritas. ISO/IEC 42001 is the international management system standard for artificial intelligence and provides a framework for AI governance, risk management, oversight, and continuous improvement.

The certification expands MetaPhase’s quality, security, and delivery maturity portfolio, which includes ISO 9001 and ISO 27001, as well as CMMI DEV Level 3 and CMMI SVC Level 3. It applies to MetaPhase’s design, development, integration, governance, and oversight of AI solutions supporting client missions and internal operations.

“ISO 42001 reflects the next step in MetaPhase’s operating maturity and technical excellence with AI,” said Beth Angerman, Chief Operating Officer of MetaPhase. “This certification extends our delivery discipline into AI with an auditable framework for governance, risk management, and continuous improvement.”

As federal agencies accelerate AI adoption, MetaPhase’s AIMS establishes defined roles, controls, procedures, risk reviews, impact assessments, internal audits, management reviews, and improvement processes for AI-enabled solutions. The certification also reinforces governance behind ChallengeAI®, MetaPhase’s AI-enabled accelerator suite for federal software delivery.

“AI should accelerate how agencies deliver, not add another layer of process,” said Brian Funk, Chief Technology Officer of MetaPhase. “For government missions, that means model and data lineage, retrieval controls, eval harnesses, human review gates, audit evidence, and deployment patterns that help teams move from prototype to production with speed.”

MetaPhase applies its AIMS across internal AI use, client-facing AI solutions, and future AI-enabled accelerators. The company also gives agencies multiple acquisition pathways for AI-enabled capabilities, including the Generalized Intelligent Interface Framework (GIIF) SBIR Phase III direct award, ChallengeAI® through the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace, as well as traditional vehicles such as GSA MAS, OASIS+, and NASA SEWP VI.
